Description

Be prepared for early finishers with this collection of 4 natural forms extension tasks. Each is a drawing task.  There are two pages in this download (pictured here) and two tasks on each page.  Simply cut the pages in half so students can choose their favourite natural form to draw.

There are two versions of one page to account for different countries use of the term tone/value.

There are many more extension tasks for early finishers on The Arty Teacher website.

Materials required: Paper to print the resource onto and sketching pencils.

    I combined these photos with a previous assignment. Pick one of these four images and draw it four times, using different media, and maybe develop some sort of concept (follow your imagination). I teach an online and in-person adult drawing class. We had so much fun! Great photos. We are all wondering how the DandyLion was blue. Sasha@ Art Works! Studio, LLC Michigan, USA

      Hi Sasha, Thank you for this lovely review. I’m delighted that you combined this with something you already teach as that is how I imagine these extension tasks being used. I’m not sure why the dandelion appears blue but did wonder if it was reflected light from the sky?

    Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

    I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.
