Negative Space Plant Task

This task is a classic and still has huge value today. Teaching your students to draw negative space and giving them time to develop using this technique has a place on all drawing curriculums. This download includes:

  • The 5-slide PowerPoint pictured above.
  • A good example as a PDF.
  • 5 plant images. These are Ai generated.
  • A page with a faint rectangle on it that is exactly the same size as the plant images.
  • A lesson plan.

    This project is a very good way to teach students about negative space. And the plants were great to draw and I don’t mind at all, that they are AI generated.
    I loved doing the drawing myself as well and I will continue to use this project in my future classe.
