Description

This Christmas tree zendoodle art lesson is both festive and relaxing.  Ideal for a peaceful lesson in the (sometimes excitable) build-up to Christmas.  This download includes:

  • A Christmas tree worksheet.
  • A good example of a Christmas Tree zendoodle.
  • 3 pages of zendoodle for your students to refer to.

Materials Required:  Good paper thin enough to go through a photocopier and permanent fine liners. *

    Honestly, this lesson is a perfect task when the world is so gloomy at the moment. I will tell my team to get the children to render the tree first in soft tones, then using fineliners create the beautiful patterns on top.     My students absolutely loved it! The tree was divided perfectly so each student could draw their own zentangles or use the examples provided. The quality of their patterned tree was enormous. A great way to finish the year in the artroom!

    Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

    I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

    I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.

    I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
