Adobe Fresco Monet London Digital Art

During this Adobe Fresco Monet London digital art project, students learn about Claude Monet through practical work and making a sketchbook page. They experiment with brushes in the free Adobe Fresco App and then create a copy of a Monet Houses of Parliament painting.

The objectives of the project are:

  • To understand Claude Monet’s approach to colour, light and atmosphere.
  • To explore Impressionist techniques using digital tools in Adobe Fresco.
  • To experiment with digital brushes and layering to create painterly effects.
  • To apply these skills to produce a Monet-inspired digital artwork.

  • The 8-slide editable PowerPoint pictured above. This includes objectives, an introduction to Monet, guidance for creating a sketchbook page, instructions for experimenting with digital brushes and further learning tasks.

Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.

I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
