Sarah Graham Chupa Chups

This official, artist-approved presentation about the work of Sarah Graham introduces students to her brightly coloured, hyper-realistic oil paintings in a clear and engaging way. Sarah Graham is an ideal artist to study when exploring themes such as food, colour, nostalgia, childhood, and identity, and her work is always popular with students because of its bold style and familiar subject matter.

The 13-slide presentation includes a ready-to-use script with information and suggested questions to help you introduce the artist with confidence. It also contains photographs from inside Sarah Graham’s studio, quotes from the artist about her process, and a link to a time-lapse video showing a painting being completed, giving students valuable insight into how her work is made.

There is also a link to the same presentation in Google Slides.

The final two slides have been designed so they can be printed and used as resource sheets for classroom discussion, sketchbook work, or artist research tasks.

Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.

I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
